In this episode, Robin and Bob speak to Robert (Bob) Leaf, the father of international PR, about how to engage with the perceptions of young people and the rebranding of youth work in a time of crisis. Credited as the person who introduced public relations to the rest of the world, Bob Leaf joined the PR firm Burson-Marsteller in 1957 in New York, where he eventually became international chairman, spreading the practice and opening new consultancies across the globe. Prior to that, he was an education specialist in the US Army, and in 1954 he earned a Masters degree in History from the University of Missouri. Bob has achieved legendary status within the PR field and has an unparalleled list of clients. He now regularly lectures at universities sharing stories and insights from his amazing career. Bob specialises in the art of perception, which enables him to be a master at understanding and communicating powerfully with a diverse range of people, and he brings forward that expertise here and applies it to youth work.
