ILYW Episode 24 – Gwendolyn Myers | I Love Youth Work

On today’s episode, Bob speaks to Gwendolyn Myers, a youth worker from Liberia.

Gwendolyn is the founder and executive director of Messengers of Peace (MOP), encouraging young Liberians to volunteer for peace development in Liberia, Africa and the World. She was also appointed to serve as Liberia’s Ambassador to the World Peace is Possible Foundation in the Netherlands and USA.

With over 20 years of experience in youth work, Marlijn is a key figurehead for Dutch youth work, attending both national and international conferences regarding the development of young people.

ILYW Episode 22 – Sarah Spiteri | I Love Youth Work

On today’s episode, Bob Singha speaks to Sarah Spiteri, a leading youth worker from Malta. They discuss Sarah’s career, helping young people become active citizens and creating a space for young people to explore and learn. Sarah has been a youth worker for the past fifteen years. In that time, she has led arts-based youth empowerment programs, and she is now the Senior Information Officer at the country’s national youth agency, Agenzija Zghazagh.

Ashraf and Arjun are the founders of #Pravah, an organisation which initiates young people into practical decision-making within a complex context of social problems, and #ComMutiny, an association of youth collectives. This recording was at #CCYW2018 where Ashraf and Arjun presented some aspects of their work in India, including the “Be a Jagrik” project and the concept of the 5th Space.
